We’re based in Glen Arbor, very near the shoreline of beautiful Lake Michigan to our north, the crystal clear waters of Glen Lake, ringed by tree-lined hillsides at our southern flank, and all virtually surrounded by the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
Over a million National Park visitors each year enjoy the areas clear, fresh water, miles of sandy beaches, historic structures, and the charm of our area. In fact, on August 17 2011, our area was recognized in a nation-wide vote as the ‘Most Beautiful Place in America’ on ABC’s Good Morning America and we tend to agree!
Property values continue to appreciate because there’s so little privately-held land (and it doesn’t change hands all that often), but the outlying areas are certainly more affordable by Glen Arbor standards, offering something for everyone in our northern Michigan paradise.
Our draw is multifaceted – from quaint villages to a multitude of cultural and recreational activities, a nationally recognized regional medical facility in nearby Traverse City, great schools, and wineries receiving much deserved recognition as the up and coming Napa and Sonoma of the mid-west (it’s said that grapes like to look at the water, don’t we all?). We live in a special area, why wouldn’t you?
